Braidedrugs, explained.
A braided rug is made from thick braids of fibre, laid side by side and stitched together into a chunky, textured surface.
i.How it is made
Strands of wool, cotton or other fibre are braided into long, thick ropes. The braids are then laid in rows, or coiled into a round or oval, and stitched together along their edges. The braid itself is the pattern and texture, so even a single colour has depth.
ii.Where they belong
Family rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and entries: anywhere you want comfort and texture underfoot. Braided rugs are casual by nature and pair well with natural materials and relaxed furniture.
iii.Looking after them
Vacuum regularly, checking that no stitching has come loose; a small repair early stops a braid separating. Use a pad and rotate the rug from time to time.

Questions
Braided, asked
Many are, since the braids look the same on both sides. Turning the rug spreads the wear.
